The hotel was built in 1938, planned by the famous architect Egidio Dabbeni, who left with it the most beautiful building in the city. Its white facade spreads along Via X Giornate with its marvellous neo-classical style. The building is located in the commercial and cultural centre of Brescia, near the symbolic spots of the city: Piazza Loggia, Piazza Duomo, Piazza Vittoria, Teatro Grande and the Museum of Santa Giulia. Very simple in the exterior, the hotel opens up from the portico into the imposing lobby with the pink marbles columns surmounted by a low relief ceilings and its walnut furniture. The ballromm, the banquette halls and the bar are decorated with splendid Murano chandeliers. The hotel is also renowned for having had among its guest very famous personalities from the International politic and artistic scene. Because of the beauty and prestige of its interiors, the hotel is promoted by the fine arts.
